Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Options

No two recovery journeys are ever the same. That’s why we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to addiction recovery. Rather, we provide personalized treatment so you can receive the unique care you need to heal your mind, body, and spirit.

Below are several treatment options we offer to help patients overcome addiction for good.

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): A popular form of psychotherapy in which an individual addresses negative thought patterns and behaviors and turns them into more positive, healthier thoughts and behaviors.
  • DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy): Another type of psychotherapy where an individual learns to more effectively regulate their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, which can be especially helpful in reducing your risk of relapse in addiction recovery.
  • Family Therapy: Family therapy provides patients and their loved ones the ability to work toward rebuilding their relationship. Unfortunately, addiction can fracture relationships; however, family therapy provides a safe space to start rebuilding those connections.
  • Dual Diagnosis Treatment: If you are struggling with both a substance use disorder and mental illness, dual diagnosis treatment provides you with the ability to treat both conditions at the same time, thus reducing your risk of relapse.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the detoxification process take?

Detoxing is the first necessary step that every recovering addict must go through. There are a variety of factors that can impact how long the detoxification process takes. This includes factors like the intensity of your addiction, the type of substance you are addicted to, your age, and more. Typically, most patients can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks to completely detox from drugs or alcohol so they can effectively progress along their recovery.

It can be overwhelming going to a rehab center, especially if you do not know what to expect. Depending on where you are in your recovery journey can impact what you can expect. For example, if you are just starting your recovery journey, the first step of your recovery journey will be to detox from the drugs in your system. This will ensure your body adapts back to no longer consuming/expecting to consume any drug. During the detoxification process is also when you will also experience uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms like insomnia, irritability, nausea, and more.

After you have successfully detoxed, you will then begin to prioritize learning healthy coping strategies to help you maintain your sobriety journey. Inevitably, all recovering addicts face triggers and urges to abuse drugs or alcohol. Learning healthy coping skills and strategies allows you to resist the urge to turn back to abusing drugs and alcohol. Plus, recovering addicts who are also struggling with a mental health condition after they detox should consider seeking treatment for their mental illness. In other words, if you have a co-occurring disorder, which is when you are struggling with both a mental illness and addiction, it’s critical to seek dual diagnosis treatment so you get the comprehensive care that you need to not only overcome your addiction, but also better manage your mental illness symptoms.

Each patient’s road to recovery is uniquely different. Some patients may benefit from a range of evidence-based and holistic treatment options, while other patients may find evidence-based-only care to work best. There are a range of treatment options available from CBT to group therapy, to more holistic treatment options like music therapy, equine therapy, and others.

It is also important to understand that if you are struggling with both a substance use disorder and mental illness, seeking dual diagnosis treatment is essential. Dual diagnosis treatment provides you the ability to receive treatment for both your substance use disorder and mental illness at the same time. Otherwise, failure to treat both conditions at the same time increases your risk of relapse in the long run. For example, if you are struggling with alcohol addiction and depression, and you only seek treatment for your addiction, your depression symptoms can increase your risk of turning to alcohol in the future as a means to cope.
